At the point of maximum pessimism is the time to buy. That's what's happening now in this sector. No one expects fundamentals for the equipment companies to improve anytime soon. Is there any probable way the outlook could be worse? I'm also heavily overweighted in various high tech sectors. While I'm not particularly happy about the trend in my net worth from September of last year to April 4th of this year, I do plan to live for about another 30 years. I don't use the money in equities to cover any living expenses. I don't know any other place to put my money which has better long term risk / reward ratios.
