Sudan: Japanese company seeking investment in oil, gas exploration

Khartoum, 24 May: The Japanese Mitsui Company has expressed desire to invest in oil and gas exploration in the Sudan.

Energy and Mining Minister Dr Awad Ahmad al-Jaz, who received the company delegation headed by Stephen Kelrrik in the presence of the secretary-general of the ministry, Engineer Hasan Muhammad Ali al-Tawm, welcomed the company and promised to provide all assistance and facilities for the company in its work in the Sudan.

The minister said the work of the company would help in the further development of the relations between the Sudan and Japan.

It is to be recalled that the company has many investment and vast experience in various domains around the world. It also owns Arcadia Petroleum Company limited which is currently marketing the Sudanese oil.
