He's just "barking up the wrong tree", IMO.

Inflation is always temporary, until it destroys enough purchasing power, a contraction ensues and then we start the cycle all over again -- but AG wants to postpone the inevitable forever. He ain't content with a little inflation. He's fighting an implosion -- how short-lived the episode is isn't as important as how intense it is going to be ...

Also (flame me, I love it), the cost of goods purchased from abroad are going to have to rise here -- there isn't any way around it in the next few years ...
