The size of the drop the last two days does not seem warranted, based on degree of the general market decline. Could this really be due to
Sanders dumping some shares? Seems a little over done, to me.

Or maybe the size of the run-up was not warranted? Ever think of it that way :)

I'd argue that the size of the previous run up wasn't warranted either, so you live by the sword and die by the sword. I think the news has been pretty mediocre lately.

In another quarter, we'll be competing against chips that are potentially 500mhz faster, and are priced the same. I think AMD is in for a world of hurt at that point. You can argue all you want about performance, but I doubt the general public will pick up a copy of pc world to find out. Plus the bench mark comparison will be p4 with rambus vs athlon with ddr, then people will go out and buy the p4 with sdram thinking it's the same thing.

Pravin,

I think this drop in AMD is more due to the putrid Book to Bill and the movement in the SOX index the past couple days. AMD has had a nice run. This pullback is okay considering how light the volume is. I show the stock should hold 30.50 for short term support.
