Sounds scary when you say it like that, but if you rephrase it: 'competing against chips potentially clocked 33% higher'
(assuming you mean July's 1.5Ghz Tbird vs. a 2 GHz P4 --with or without TCC throttling? :) ) it doesn't seem all that bad, really.

1.33 is the equal of 1.7, and that's a 28% clock difference.

I suspect AMD will do what it takes to maintain parity, if not superiority. Wait for 'crush'. Remember Jerry's comment about the P4 quake III advantage disappearing in a few months?

I'd say the news lately has been moderately good, and June 4 is shaping up to be spectacular.
