A punitive tax code takes away the desire to excel and the resources to grow in a capitalist system. I employ a lot of people. I'd employ more if my excess wasn't going to pay taxes, plain and simple. I trust myself, my employees, and my potential employees to know what better to do with that money than the inefficient bureaucrats in Washington (or Austin for that matter).

A decent living, for a job well done. I don't think anyone is asking for more than that.

You are asking for a guarantee. Most people don't get that. Even people who also do really really good things for people just like farmers. Why are you special?
