Gene, "That's why Manufacturers Representatives and Authorized Distributors exist... The issue is not about Intel's requirement that a company sign an NDA to receive advanced technical information on unreleased product."

Your understanding of PC industry seems to be one-sided.
You sound like a chip sale folk. This is not about any
"advanced" information, this is about current
functionality and, more important, bug fixes and work
arounds.

All critical aspects of current Intel/Wintel PC platform
is covered under related NDAs. Mom and PoP cannot design
an AMD or Intel-compatible platform without NDA, unless
spending years of inverse engineering, which renders
all this useless.
