Nadine, that sounds like fuzzy math to me. Where did you get your figures?

And, assuming that you are right (which you are not), why is it alright in your mind for "the rich" to pay more than their fair share in terms of percentage of income than other tax payers?

The top 5 percent of taxpayers paid 51.9 percent of total income taxes in 1998. Probably even more the last two years.
