I have to go to dinner, so I had to curtail my response to Land. I will discuss my own hopes later tonight, if possible.....

brees,

there is a street near whereI live and it has a church, a mosque, a Buddist temple and a nearby synagogue. The same county police protect and serve these facilities. Not that they need police. Why couldn't this working model of democracy and civility be applied globally. Anglos - Saxons - Welsh - Normans also butchered eac h other for thousands of years. There can be a solution. People just have to want a solution.

Well, as to Jersualem, there have been concepts floated around that it become an open, international city. That seems to have some appeal, at least to me, who isn't at all affected personally. But in theory, at least, I could see that working. Heck, make it an independent nation with a governing parliment consisting of two Christians (one Catholic, one Protestant), two Jews (one Orthodox, one Reform), two Muslims (one Sunni, one Shiite), three Buddhists, three Hindus, three Confucians, and an atheist. Could that be any worse than the existing situation?

<<<The Muslims might agree if there were respect for the existing Mosque as part of the project, and I see no reason for Christians to object since this prophesy is in the Christian theology.>>>>

I didn't know Christians and Muslims shared any common ground concerning prophecies, what are they?
