All SUN has to do is dominate the uniprocessor through 8-way server markets with low cost Sledgehammer servers in order to limit Itanium's market. Without the market, Itanium will not attract the software base. Without the software base, Itanium will not be able to compete against SUN's 16-way and 32-way SPARC based servers.
