I watched on 60 minutes, how the supply of diamond is controlled. I was totally shocked. There is an abundance of diamonds but being controlled you can jack up the price. As in california, texan thugs are jacking up the price of electricity by stopping generators during critical time, they know their guys occupy white house. How sad and what happens when supply is controlled like diamond & electricity. IMHO.

I was under the impression from seeing a documentary a few years ago, that officials of DeBeers can not enter the U.S. due to a fear of legal troubles. I believe it had to do with their running an illegal monopoly. I don't remember if that was criminal or civil, but I think it was considered a criminal matter.
