Eric-- <ugh>

I preferred your point on the Nokia thread ten or twelve days ago, that this was a "risk chip", for which the handset manufacturers assumed the risk for a time advantage.

Are you hearing something new in this oddly written rehash from Chosun, other than that the total costs come to about $2 1/2 million (" a few billion won)?

edit: Beg pardon... risk would be on the vendor of the chip... in any event, this news was out nearly two weeks ago
and your insights were more profound there then than here now.

i thought samsung uses the 5100 not the 5105; the 5100 has the whistles and bells, positioning etc

on alcatel-LU, I wonder how they are going to get around the national security issues? I wonder if there will be tender offer announced tomorrow; long weekend would have allowed the lawyers to get one put together for a competitive bid.

q seems to be saying written specs weren't detailed enuf and it's not really chip defect
