Cax,

Thanks for posting Julie's explanation.

Did I understand her to say:

"Any "delay" in phones being released ... probably related to a change in marketing strategy by certain handset manufacturers to offer the latest, greatest chip (5100 supports 307 kbps, plus all the multimedia and position location features)."

If she said that, then she means then, that Qualcomm led suppliers to believe that the MSM5100 which was to sample in December, didn't sample, and the chip they substituted into the roadmap in September, sampling in place of the MSM5100, which was supposed to meet the carriers expectations, did NOT meet their expectations.

Is that what Julie just said to explain the fact that 1xRTT chips are likely to ship in considerably reduced quantity in FQ4.

Is that what Julie just told us?

<< We believe the 5105 as a very practical, cost effective
solution for 1x, >>

Where are they gonna dump this text oriented VALUE chip?

Verizon?

Sprint?

Alltel?

Telesp?
