So what happens in techland when we suddenly receive notice that a decision on the Microsoft case is imminent? What will subsequently happen if we learn Microsoft has been cleared of all charges, or at worst, slapped on the wrist? Will this surprise the market in a positive way, or is this event already completely factored in, as everything else is supposed to be?

I have long contended the techland bear market resulted from a combination of outrageous valuations, unnecessary FOMC interest rate hikes in 2000, the ridiculous hype media surrounding Y2K and humanity reaching the year 2000 in general, and the GOV's relentless attacks on the Microsoft empire. I think the relative weighting of each separate items impact on techland problems is probably moot, as is the chicken and the egg dilemma. What difference does it make NOW anyway? Techs are fried, but are still considered by many to be WAY overvalued.

Ciao,
John
