am not completely sure what compaq's product line supposed to prove short of that amd can offer better solution just take a look at bottom line ml330e specs:
single pIII-733MHz processor
64MB sdram
$999
or ml530
1 xeon-1GHz processor (dual capable)
128 sdram
for only $5.9K

---

Are we suppose to believe that the $5K difference is all about the processor? Here's a few advantages that the ML530 has over the ML330e:

- Support for 4GB of RAM instead of 2GB.
- 2 64-bit, 66MHz PCI slots instead of none.
- 5 64-bit, 33MHz PCI slots instead of two.
- Hot-pluggable power supply instead of non hot-pluggable.
- Redundant power supply option instead of no option.
- 12 drive bays instead of four.
- Integrated dual-channel U2 SCSI instead of single-channel.

Maybe those features have something to do with it...
