that's the solution to computer voice recognition technology and a keyboardless web browser - pay for someone in Shanghai to learn English and then pay them $100/month (or less since it's not hard labor) to take your cheap long distance phone calls (voice over IP) and then type/read for you on a bare bones web appliance/pc which will soon cost about $100 after Dell and Gateway finish their price war. So who needs companies like NUAN or SPWX? Eventually it will cost much less than $100/ month as the unemployed and unhappily employed in every developing nation fight for employment by people willing to pay for this service.

of course China's wage advantage will disappear over time,as its economy catches up. no danger of that happening near term though...
