7.6 for the oil companies who do all the work is to much. Well the federal government who does none of the work and takes none of the risks makes about 4 times that amount. Each state make about the same. Funny how you don't see the biggest corporation that gouges us all

A profit margin of 7.6% means nothing. Accounting is an art. Public companies will juggle numbers to avoid taxes and keep as much of their revenue as possible. No big surprise. Like Hollywood. Picture makes $150 mill and the accountants make it seem like it lost money.

I'm not saying the oil companies are lying or gouging or breaking the law, but for you to base your argument on that one figure is to overlook a great deal.
