Doug,

Well it may be a tad premature to completely write off the MP launch, considering it hasn't happened yet, but even supposing not, how is it that AMD managed to gain 4% market share last quarter against the invincible Intel if their execution is as shitty as you claim?

Thunderbird has finally hit on all cylinders, after some misfires due to poor chipset support. But that's the past. I was a much more bullish on AMD when the momentum was building, even though the Wall street didn't see it that way.

Now, the only force moving AMD forward is inertia.

And why is everyone writing off the possibility of more laptop design wins being announced at Computex, like, say, HP?

It is entirely possible, but the window was wide open for AMD to sell 1+ million Palomino notebooks this quarter. AMD did not take advantage of this opportunity. We will be lucky to get 1/3 of that number.
