I haven't followed the Japanese work at all. Has anyone kept track of how much of the Japanese companies' OLED technology is being developed inhouse and how much is being licensed from Kodak, UDC etc... Looks like OLED half-life has about doubled in a year. If that rate of improvement can be maintained, it will get interesting in 2-3 years.

Oh, the polysilicon TFT is why the cost savings is only 20%. They are just saving money on the rubbing and the backlighting.

I guess I'll have to wait awhile to print out a TV screen on my inkjet printer <gg>.
