I find Atkins books in the used book stores by the shelf but rarely come across one by Dr. D'Adamo. In fact he responded to me one time and mentioned he frequented used book stores and noticed the same. Blood Type A is the best candidate for a vegetarian diet. They digest meat poorly and store it as fat. Dairy inhibits nutrient metabolism. OTOH soy aids digestion and metabolizes quickly. Vegetables and vegetable oils aid efficient digestion. The only beneficial protein for Type A is some fish with beneficial oils.

While Atkins diet fits generally (high protein, low carbohydrate) with a Blood Type Diet for O's it is from a significantly different understanding.
