I have a practical problem with being impartial to BELIEVERS in the forum of serous debate amongst adults. The 3d world is another matter, but in the clasroom or the Agora, ideas can be debated even where they hurt someone's feelings. If people's feelings can not stand to have their ideas tested, challenged and debated, then they ought not to debate them. I am not talking about you, but am making a general disclaimer for those not understanding of my position. I don't believe the unknowable is knowable. Thus, when someone claims to Know the Unknowable, I know that someone else will make the same claim, and that the claims will be diffrent. And that those not making the claims will have no rational basis for deciding between the two (or ten, or a million) conflicting claims. So they will choose between them on an irrational basis (I like what he said. He is a messenger of God). I also know that people will be tortured and destroyed because of this. I know it is a fact, and I suspect on the basis of history that it will alwys be a fact. And that is why I oppose the message that somebody KNOW's God's will. God's Will becomes anything they say it is. I will not pretend that such people are less dangerous than those whom are humble before the universe. Those humble in what they know are not the ones responsible for the insane genocide that has tortured our world since way before Moses. And they are not the ones responsible now. Now, I must go earn a living...
