Flats, scratching my head trying to get the point of your post. Let's see. Cisco is a large corporation. Cisco doesn't want a power plant built in its neighborhood, aka "NIMBY." Cisco, one presumes, also doesn't like blackouts. Therefore, Cisco has its head up its ass. Is that your point?

And if Cisco has its head up its ass, that means that central planners get a blank check to shove their collective heads up their collective arses? Hmmm?

As if we could stop them. As if they needed justification. They seem to be doing a fine job all on their own. But if it makes you feel better that Cisco is on the same book and page, well, that's interesting, I guess.

<officials argued that the valley faces an energy crisis and that the Coyote Valley location makes an ideal spot because of its proximity to transmission lines. Critics of the plan said the proposed site was too close to neighborhoods and would pollute the area. >

Funny that everyone knew there was a power problem in CA all along eh?... LOL

I also find it interesting that in the long run the "nimby's" are really stopping growth... ie. no more power, infrastructure stops developers from building. I can't wait for AZ to run out of water so the developers will stop mowing down all the Cacti around here <NG> BTW, it was government porkbarrel & medling that caused 1/2 of these dislocations in the west to begin with.

Just stirring things up.
