Arafat has committed no crime in his native country. He is an enemy of western hegemony in his native land as was Mossadegh.

If we could step aside for a moment as if we were aliens from another planet and ask "who are the goodguys in this silly squabble"? What answer would we get? Is it not our particular background that makes us take sides here? What if you had been born in Beirut? Who would you favour? Funny how all those foreigners in any war are always wrong, subhuman and criminal. The Germans coined the term terrorists in the second world war to describe French Resistance fighters. We called them heroes.

I prefer to stay neutral and disbelieve all my government tells me. I won't wait 40 years to understand that every Latin American leader is a not a communist in spite of the fact Allen Dulles tells me it's so. Today it is hard to justify what Dulles did. It was a snap in those days. Today it's clear. We were the bad guys in the Middle East and South America. "Yanqui go home" was not a refrain from a few clever communist agitators. When will it become clear to later generations what our errors were today? Bear in mind please that I am not trying to justify Gulags either. Nobody is off this hook.

You website has a background colour of green which is a sacred colour in Muslim countries.
