Of course, taking chances with the long bond is dicey too.

<<There are lots of other reasons why the market is going to stay above 2000 and probably get close to 2500 in a few weeks.>>

OK, NV. List all the reasons that the market will stay over 2000 and rally nearly 20% from here in the next few weeks. I gotta know.

NV, You didn't seem to pay attention to the consumption figures recently released.

It is just a modern version of the company town. IMHO the vast majority of Americans are about one paycheck away from bankruptcy. For most of them, the tax cut is just going to be vaporized in higher energy costs.

As to the stock Market, even during the hey day of the late ninety's, a brutal number of the equity issues in this country were negative for three year performance.

In my little investment Phleet, I don't short and I don't use margin. Thus, I've got the choice of being Long or being in a money market. For some time, I've been in a money market. The weekly lines are just too close to us. A mistake here and one could become a long-term Buy and Hold Investor.

Hope you make money, but I'll just watch this insanity.
