Agnico expects to pay about $10 million for the expansion of surface facilities. A portion of planned expenditures of about $30 million will be moved into 2002 and 2003. Agnico's plan contemplates an increase in gold production to 341,000 ounces in 2002, 373,000 ounces in 2003 and 396,000 ounces in 2004 from an estimated 229,000 ounces of gold in 2001.
