it explains primarily why Al is printing like there's no tomorrow - the social backlash resulting from all those household debtors being pushed into bankruptcy could be enormous. dictatorships have arisen on the back of such crises. note that the US financial sector, banksters and credit card cos. have ben the ones lobbying for the new, tougher bankruptcy regulations. they first went and talked people into incurring massive debts, and now they worry about the consequences - for themselves. it's a step back into the middle ages basically. if the economic downturn worsens, they will come to regret that imo.
