Hi Sun Tzu; Re Nicolo Machiavelli's The Prince. It's a great book, but I think that the analysis of why Infineon did what they did is from Yahoo, where the Jack Robertson article was being talked about long before it showed up here. (LOL!!!) Wish I could take credit for the analysis, but most of it was in the Robertson article, and the rest was from here:

I am not sure what to make of this. Since Infineon appears to have the right pursue this later, maybe they are only backing off now as a way of minimizing legal costs. If Payne's Markman ruling is not overturned, then the becomes moot.

Sun... How about... "why should they ask for patents to be overturned?"... maybe the cost is not as great as Bilow thinks, and maybe it would help to solidify IFX's position in a Rambus appeal. As far as Micron is concerned... these guys have been scratching each others backs right along... why stop now? Never know when you're going to need a good scratch in return.
