And to top it off "you" really aren't a "we". There are many flavors of Muslims. I know some. And I don't think you speak for anyone but "you". So you might want to drop the royal "we". Or not, as it suits you, your weeness.

1) But the Quran clarifies that this is just because of the limitations in human language. Brees, I am not among the ranks of feminists who object to using the male pronoun when gender is unknown. When a pronoun is needed for something that is without gender, though, human languages most certainly do provide an option. In English, the word is "it." It's not my intention to make a big deal out of it, but that explanation about language limitations is revisionist baloney. Karen
