And to top it off "you" really aren't a "we". There are many flavors of Muslims. I know some. And I don't think you speak for anyone but "you". So you might want to drop the royal "we". Or not, as it suits you, your weeness.

Brees, I am not among the ranks of feminists who object to using the male pronoun when gender is unknown. When a pronoun is needed for something that is without gender, though, human languages most certainly do provide an option. In English, the word is "it." It's not my intention to make a big deal out of it, but that explanation about language limitations is revisionist baloney.
