Skeeter-

Thanks for your response. I have the belief that many people, even those working in lower paying jobs can take pride in their work under the right circumstances. They just need to be given a chance, some trust, perhaps some self esteem, and a belief that there work is important. If I ever do open up my on little pharmacy and all my employees take advantage, steal and embezzle then I would be very sad, close up shop and go back to one of the big chains or drug companies and let them be the ogres. But I have a little faith in my fellow humans.

SB,

Yes... I agree with your points. A business has a competitive advantage if the workers really do have a real smile.
They tend to have a competitive edge on things generally.

Been watching the discussion on minimum wage with Flats, Don, Les and others.

At the same time, your enthusiasm as a "positive" manager may take a hit when tough decisions have to be made. Some times you cannot treat those folks as you would like to be treated. Just business, and that can be
difficult.

Just as I see it. Liked reading lisalisa's comments.
