I'm not yet what I would consider a good shorter. Psychological thing. I'd rather long an anti-stock (metals, energy) than short a stock, even if I see a chart breaking
down from a textbook rising wedge pattern... I'm working on it, but for the time being, no need to fear me shorting now. I'm just sitting this dance out at present!

that's not always true, the september top was a dull market period with two weeks of narrow candle bodies and back of back days with advancers equaling decliners, and low vix.

i remember linda raschke was talking about trading commodities because there was no movement in the market -g-

the volume on diamonds and cubes was way below average, average true range reached the level of the jan top on dia and made a 9 month low on QQQ.
