Most of the liberal tree huggers were common everyday suburban middle class property owners practicing good old fashioned capitalism (owning property) and afraid that power lines or power plants in their back yards would reduce the value of the property that they owned. Not exactly the extremists that some might want to believe.

Then again some who embrace the mythology of free markets see an extremist behind every tree. <ggg>
