I didn't mention anything about eliminating pub trans. I stated several facts. Europeans pay more for gas because of taxation, partly to fund pub trans. Second, I said Americans historically don't use pub trans and aren't willing to pay for it. Where in that did I state anything about eliminating pub trans? Why shouldn't we use 80% of the world's energy? We're paying for it. If someone else wants it, they can purchase it just as easily as we. When demand increases, and the supply remains static or decreases, prices go up, reducing demand. Simple economics. Derek
