Given the leftist opposition, media bias and gullibility of the American electorate, it seems to me that we can expect that all necessary changes such as in the tax code, Social Security, etc, will be incremental at best. Thus the tax cut is a good start. A weak privatization bill is better than none, etc.

My friend was a democrate until she inherited money from her mother. After much research on her part, and through the limited information I was able to give her she changed her party affiliation and registered as as a Republican before the election last year.

Between the estate taxes, which really pissed her off and Slicks behavior, which she found deplorable, the deal was clinched.

In my experience, the democratic party is losing the vote of the suburban middle class. M
