What an absolutely idiotic thing to say. There is no evidence to suggest Americans would adopt the way of life Europeans have become accustomed to, and leap toward mass transit over their personal transportation vehicles.

On the contrary, there is AMPLE evidence to suggest just the opposite is true.

All you leftist want to do is give more money and power to government, and less money and freedom to individuals. What right to you have to shove your transportation morality down everyone else's throat?

Maybe you would love to give up these freedoms for an all encompassing central government decision making body, but I certainly would not. And thank God neither would most thinking Americans.

The fringe leftwing mindset you live in, THANK GOD is just that. A fringe, of wacko environmental government power lovers, who ALWAYS see the answer to problems involving more and more government control over our lives.

Dear rich4eagle: I suspect when someone reads your post they may question whom the REAL Dimwit is and ask which door he/she is behind!!
What you are saying is this: "We can FORCE YOU to LOVE Mass Transit by making it prohibitely expensive to drive your car" Sort of like, who was it Dr. StrangeLove, in How I learned to love the Bomb. You REALLY must be a big government kind of person. I think you will find this thread is composed mainly of freedom loving independent thinkers. JDN
