Juniper slashes job, revenue outlook

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 8 (Reuters) - Networking equipment maker Juniper Networks Inc. (NasdaqNM:JNPR -

slowdown in the telecommunications and network service provider sectors.

Sunnyvale, California-based Juniper said its revenue for the period ending June 30 would range between $200 million to $210 million, with
earnings before certain items of 8 to 9 cents per share. It will record a charge of $45 million for the job cuts.

Previously, Juniper had forecast revenue of $300 million to $330 million, it said.

Analysts on average had expected revenue of about $324 million, according to research firm Thomson Financial/First Call. Earnings had been
seen ranging from 22 cents to 26 cents per share, with a mean expectation of 24 cents per share.
