I really meant Goedel, who is supposed to have proved you can't prove anything, or something like that. With all the definitive "proofs" floating around, his alleged existence is obviously extremely exaggerated.

On an unrelated note, maybe you can take a crack at this bit in Mike Magee's e-rag: theinquirer.net . Seems a little dry, verging on stale, but maybe there's an Anglo angle I'm missing.
