Pat, Re: I think you mean P = k C * V^2* Yes, exactly, thanks for posting. With "resistance" I meant the 'k' value which is about 20% lower on Palomino. So 'C' can go up 20% or 'V' can go up 9.5% if you believe that power consumption holds the Athlon back. If 'V' is up 2.8% (1.80/1.75), 'C' can only go up around 14% to hold overall power consumption. This doesn't take in account, of course, that Palomino might just scale worse than Thunderbird. I think that might be the case but reserve judgement until we have the first overclocking results.
