wllcnyc: If the "Hot List" is based on "bookmarking" those figures should be posted along with the number of posts.

I agree. Each thread should show number of posts, number of average hits and the hits over the last 24 hours and the number of bookmarks by active members (members that have logged in over the last 30 days).

LG

Bill,

Excellent point. I have thought about that and I am sure this is what SI will attempt to use as their explanation: bookmarks. Those will be difficult to pin down, but I don't think any threads I named got up there just because I said something about them. Those I posted about today were already there. And they were commercial threads linked to the sponsor. That "Main Street" went from #1 to nowheresville in a few hours says it all - and we have seen this before. The sad thing for us here is that this says quite a bit about what those controlling these lists here think about us: that we are complete fools and would never notice. There are many common threads running through all of these events, but one I have seen so very often: the complete lack of respect these people have for the majority of others. They are superior; hence, they are endowed with the God-gven right to deceive and swindle the unwary, who by their faith and belief in their fellow man, that he will not step all over him to get ahead, is very, very vulnerable indeed. That makes this entire business very saddening and also even more despicable than otherwise.
