Del, why didn't Clinton/Gore do anything about these issues when they were in office for 8 years? Two of which they had Democrat control of congress?

Guess they just didn't care enough....

By the way, have you read Al Gore's book?

New York Times News Service

WASHINGTON - President Bush will carry few specific proposals when he embarks on his first major overseas trip Monday, hoping instead that face-to-face encounters will win over Europeans skeptical of his policies and abilities.

"The common European perception is of a shallow, arrogant, gun-loving, abortion-hating, Christian fundamentalist Texan buffoon," said a senior administration official who will accompany Bush to Europe. "They read all the press about a hard-line unilateralist. They really believe this stuff about cowboys. We need to get it all on a higher plane.

Though Bush and his aides say they are aware of Europe's disagreements with the administration on a variety of issues - including the death penalty and the environment - they have been depicting these as problems that could be overcome by the president's charm and personality - as happened, experts note, with President Ronald Reagan nearly two decades ago."

The Europeans are very perceptive and forward thinking. They will be able to look right past the "charm" bullshit, and confront him on his backward ideas. The press, who Dubya's aides say are responsible for the perception, still haven't even gotten into the issue of his cocaine use, illegal stock trading, and the Texas Rangers scam on the Arlington, Tx. taxpayers.

There is no perception problem. The press has let him off easy compared to the constant hammering on Clinton.

The myth of Al Gore's intelligence was a creation of the left-wing media, part of their attempt to force his election. He is a complete moron, and has been his entire life...

<<Why don't you take action that supports your beliefs and lobby for one of his "clean" coal plants for your town?>>

That's exactly what our electric co-op did, except we didn't lobby. We bought a coal field and are building a state of the art plant.

A few people in the co-op tried windmills and gave them up because of storage problems in off hours. Feeding extra production back into the lines kills linemen when they are working on outages.

<Dubya needs to read Al's book >

Why so he can take lessons on how to be the next Hitler?

In Al's book, he says that a human is worth no more than 3 trees. Unless (and unstated), of course, the person with cancer is one of his loved ones, which then he would sacrifice the entire Redwoord Forest, I am sure. Not that I blame him. But there is a difference between theory and reality. Gore just doesn't realize it.
