cAPS. None of the above, nor sad.

As for how people explain the apparent inaction of their gods even as they pray for intervention that has never come, I could care less, except when it interferes with me(very rarely in this country)

We have the state police and they will intervene, and yet these so called gods stand by and do nothing and are supposed to be all powerful? give me a break.

As for being a rational atheist? it is not a subject of which I have made a study, sort of the antithesis of a rational theist. Then there are the irrational theists and their counter part.

As for dictatorial bent...not me. I seek no control over you or any other. The assorted breeds of theists are the would be controllers.

The situation in Afghanistan is where a group of thugs have siezed control and they wave their religious flags in much the same way stalin's goons waved their red scythes.

No, I say that most people who say they are religious are not if you measure their actions. They just want to blend with the crowd to avoid ostracism.(rare in larger cities, far more powerful in small towns)

No matter how many people believe in religion it will nver become true, there is not now, never had been, nor ever will be a god, no matter how many people feel that way, just like santa claus, I agree with you there.

I cannot see where I ever said or implied that group thought affected the reality of a theory.

I am not angry, it just seems to be a waste, places like Afghanistan where these so called religious people wish to control others and do so with killings..that saddens me..
