Hi Pbull:
I see no way to be invested without some risk. Bgt another 2300 shares of assorted stuff in last week and 15 calls. Some will be B+H , others will get sold. That's as much as I care to have in stocks, and can stand a 30% loss without too much pressure to sell at a low.
Thats the big risk I see- having to sell at a low.
IMO the market will work its way up, but have to allow for a few nasty days.
I don't have a fixed goal for $1mm dollars or more. Just taking it a day or week at a time. Am up 28% in recent months but its a wicked path as one gets good gains and then back to zero for a week before proceeding up again.
Two steps forwards, one back. And thats not much better than the Nas itself.
I am roughly even with my trades, a few lucky ones make up for losses on the LTBH that had to get
sold because they weren't 'as advertized' . So my profits are in stocks I still hold.
Actually I could have held stocks I did sell and I think would be about even on them but it reduced the worry
by having less invested overall. But still might do better by trading less or giving new stocks a little more leeway
to go down and recover.
The battle now is to avoid getting that old Dellitis malady where the brain goes way and hides somewhere or goes to whispering- buy more, buy more.
This time around I will take a lesson from others and spend some money. Today I ordered siding for my garage, and will also order some rafters. Have stopped waiting for those "chips are dead", "PC's are dead"
analysts to get over their verbal tirades.
Regards
Sig
