The other point of view which is not mentioned there is that inflation vs.deflation (or more properly soft money vs. hard money) is a question of whether it is morally right to redistribute wealth. Inflation essentially is a wealth redistribution mechanism. I don't think it is morally wrong in all instances. I'm not a Communist, but at the same time I think that for example in feudal Europe wealth redistribution might have been a good idea.
