"American mangmt guru" Americans have a way of turning the footnotes into the story. What made Japan great was their ability as students, not simply our ability as teachers. As is so often the case, the student far surpasses the teacher. When we discuss SCM and our own new economy, half of it is just to try to catch up with where the Japanese were by the late 1960s.
