New York, June 11 (BridgeNews) - Natural gas futures surged 6.6% to a
2 1/2-week high after breaking chart resistance at several key marks.
Expectations for warmer weather in Texas and the east suggested that demand
would be rising. Crude oil jumped 2.5% to a 2 1/2-week high amid infrastructure
damage done by the remnants of Tropical Storm Allison and continued uncertainty
about Iraq's export halt. Heating oil was up 2.1% after a two-week high.

Hogs make contract highs on cash strength, fund buying
Chicago, June 11 (BridgeNews) - Hog futures drove to new contract highs as
meat packers bid as much as $1.75 per cwt more to buy live animals. Rolling of
positions into the Aug contract and aggressive fund buying once the market
moved above chart resistance points added to the upward momentum.

Coffee at 8-year lows on warm Brazil forecasts, record world estimate
New York, June 11 (BridgeNews) - Coffee futures slid 2.0% to eight-year
lows, with Jly, Sep and Dec making new contract lows on warm forecasts for
Brazilian growing areas and Friday's report from the U.S. Department of
Agriculture pegging 2001-02 world production at a record 117.7 million
60-kilogram bags.

Cotton sinks 4.7%; new-crop at new lows on technicals, rainy Southeast
Chicago, June 11 (BridgeNews) - New York cotton futures tumbled 4.7%, with
several new-crop months reaching contract lows. The Jly contract's inability to
hold above the 20-day moving average or push above a major downtrend line and
mid-May highs triggered the plunge. Ample rain in Mississippi Delta growing
areas and forecasts for more in the Southeast contributed to bearish sentiment.
