To Niceguy:"Re: AMD "30% MARKET SHARE BY YEAR END"
This all bodes well for the future, but it looks as if
the market is going to be surprised again, and again,
and again about Q2. As if we didn't know things were not
good.

My concern is over the next 2 to 5 years. I'm 58 years
old and I have 1/3 of TOTAL retirement in
AMD. I could have dumped everything a couple of times
this year, including AMD, retreated to a fund of index
funds and called it a day. But I'll be damed if after
18 months of holding AMD and adding to my position that
I would bail out now when the company seems to be doing
so much right, albeit in this rotten economic environment.

Hope I don't live to regret breaking all the rules of
portfolio management. Then there's my wife's 401K; so
not all would be lost ;-)

Long AMD
Lynn

it would've been nice to hear the announcement from a more prominent US source eh? Reuters is a credible news-source, however, perhaps the Kuala Lumpur source is not getting investors' respect.
