Lynn:

The "30% Market Share by Year End" AMD company statement released this AM is supportive of a company with superior fundamentals...Essentially what AMD is saying is that their market share in y2001, against the weakest economic environment in years, will grow 50%...This AM's reaction ($28.75) to such news is bizzarre to say the least...

Like most bizzarre reactions a significant corrective action is highly probable in the fairly near term, as a 50% market share growth rate in y2001 supports a multiple of at least 3 or 4 times that currently accorded AMD!!! The potential for a HUGE bandwagon efect is now in place with respect to AMD, the only real question is when!!! (As I said earlier today, it would not surprise me if such an effect is kicked off today as news of AMD's phenomenal current performance and the financial implications of such, implied by 50% market share growth in Y2001, seeps into the mindset of the investment community...Once general indices stabilize and rassert themselves positively, as they seem to be at the moment, I'm expecting a rather swift snapback to near term highs by AMD!!! In fact,a significant AMD price reversal this PM with AMD well in the green by the end of the day should not be surprising)
