Just because something may not be currently "doable" is a reason not to try??????

That's the kind of "indominitable" spirit we can do without.

There is a difference between solving engineering problems and ascertaining the truth about climate change, and besides, the effective of Kyoto will be to set back the industrial world, and possibly cause a Depression.......

More than just studies, there are actual tests that prove it out from the most inefficient angle: destruction of a missile in mid-flight. This point of attack, of course is the greatest idiocy since Robert McNamera's "limited escalation". A nearly perfect shield can be built against launch-stage missiles whenever the treasonous political opposition can be broken down. The liberals seem to want to wait until we lose a city. Hopefully it will be a blue zone city.

A launch-stage defense, combined with a spaced-based, and launch-from-target-site (short-range) capabilities would keep the "rogues" at bay quite effectively.

But, nevertheless, it's still tempting to let someone take out New York or Boston before we settle the debate...
