nealm surface measurements are not the problem, I speak of the change of dep ocean currents by 1/2 degree, a huge amount that if spread over the whole ocean of average 22,000 feet is about 80 feet by thermal expansion alone, neglcting the ice cap melting that is also occurring.

As for ice ages, was that not when a large vvolcanic eruption scattered dust that reflected sun for a year or two? The krakatoa explosion had freezes in july in New England from airborn dust and aerosols.

This time the case is clear. ignore it at your peril.
