Bombardier CRJ700: First 70-Seater to the Market

PARIS, FRANCE--JUNE 18, 2001 - 05:28 EDT
Bombardier Aerospace, which started the regional
jet revolution with its enormously successful 50-seat Bombardier
CRJ100* and 200* aircraft, is ahead of the competition once again
with the 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700*.

Brit Air of Morlaix, France, the Bombardier CRJ700* launch
customer, inaugurated revenue service with its first aircraft in
February, 2001 and has taken delivery of three of the 12 aircraft
on order. A 68-seat Bombardier CRJ700 in Brit Air livery is on
static display adjacent to the Bombardier chalet, A379.

Horizon Air of Seattle, Washington took delivery of its first
Bombardier CRJ700 in May 2001 and will inaugurate service this
summer. Horizon has ordered 30 of the aircraft. Lufthansa
CityLine of Cologne, Germany, which has ordered 20 Bombardier
CRJ700 models, has taken delivery of two and will also inaugurate
service this summer. Both airlines will equip their Bombardier
CRJ700 aircraft with the Flight Dynamics Head-up Guidance System
(HGS) to enable operations in Cat. IIIa weather conditions.

"Addition of the HGS is an added benefit to the already superior
operating economics of the Bombardier CRJ700," said Steven A.
Ridolfi, president of Bombardier Aerospace, Regional Aircraft.
"With the HGS, the Bombardier CRJ700 will be generating revenues
and profits while other aircraft remain on the ground."
