have to love McTeer's simple reasoning:

More goods than dollars printed == no inflation

(can he say account deficit? or foreign bagholders?)

but if we go into recession

same # dollars chasing fewer goods == inflation

(course it isn't ever the same number of dollars, is it?)

It seems like Greenspan needs another Fed official to "play off" of ... do you think these things are choreographed in detail?
